Where Art, Leadership, and Social Change Converge
My work began with a question, Can I create a world where leaders embody consciousness, courage, and compassion? Over three decades, I've learned this requires experiential learning that engages mind, body, emotion, and spirit — not lectures or theories.
As a National Award-Winning playwright, theatre director, and writer, I work across performance and film. As Executive Director of Sakshi (an NGO registered in 1992), I am the architect of the Rakshin Project (reaching 4 million students) and the Kalgyani Project (targeting 10 million women). As a leadership trainer who works in boardrooms and community halls, with executives and support staff, I design and implement programmes ranging from two-hour workshops to year-long journeys.
What makes my approach distinctive is convergence. Theatre reveals presence and non-verbal nuance. Storytelling crafts narratives that move people to action. Gender expertise exposes power dynamics and systemic inequity. Organizational strategy translates insight into workplace transformation.
Theatre pedagogy is my hallmark. Participants practice leadership in their bodies before analyzing it in their minds, fail safely before risking publicly, and rehearse difficult conversations before they're urgent.
I strongly believe that the dream of #ENDViolence can become a reality when we develop leaders with emotional capacity and systemic understanding required to drive collective action.
