Face of India

Format: Social Art Workshop | Cause: Acid Survivors | Client: Sakshi | Year: 2016

Bringing the youth from lower and middle economic strata in an interactive workshop with Acid Survivors in order to understand the impact of gender violence and the extent that ogling can go to if not nipped in the bud. In the words of Justice Verma, “Everyday women are subjected to ogling eyes of strangers and comments. Nipping the problem in the bud is the best way to solve the problem.” The youth and the Acid Survivors were trained to create theatre based body installations in the public domain in order to mainstream the conversation.
